1st supplies is a unique and independent
company founded in 1996. Ray Dix, whilst
working as plumbing and heating distributor
and plumbing being associated with lead,
identified a gap in the market for a service
orientated supplier that carried a full stock
range of rolled lead sheet and one that could
deliver such a heavy material from stock.

The company's concentration on service has
seen them go from strength to strength in
a very short time and as a consequence
they have recently doubled their warehousing
capacity to 6,000 cubic feet.

Industrial Materials. This product was chosen
because it is made to a consistently high
standard and Calder is owned by a British
based company.

1st Supplies has a fleet of six vehicles for
guaranteed next day delivery to the Home
Counties and within the M25 motorway,
or indeed anywhere in the country by
special arrangement.

In order to fully support roofing and cladding
work 1st Supplies now also holds a
comprehensive stock of copper, zinc and
stainless steel and also stock a full range of
tools and ancillary products.

The purchase of an electrically powered
cutting saw, specially designed by its previous owners Calder, enables 1st Supplies to always be in a position to supply any Code in any width within 24 hours.

Furthermore, 1st Supplies do not charge
premium prices for this unique service but
operate a very competitive pricing structure.
